I am a designer and metalsmith. This blog is about some of the projects I’m involved with, and a bit about my daily life.
I am the designer of the unique Wapentac Wapenmap, a stainless steel contoured map sculpture. This is a natural result of my passions for maps, design, walking, running and the Great Outdoors, especially the Peak District. This range is ever growing and includes Wapenmaps of the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, Snowdonia, Brecon Beacons and Scotland. I recently developed the Map’n’Lite range to the Wapentac product range.
I love drawing and working with the etching process I have the opportunity to make my drawings become 3D objects. Other themes I enjoy are botanical, textile and ritual
